Things to do around and about La Forge.
There's plenty of things to do to cater for a wide range of interests around and about La Forge and the little village of La Cellette. From Rambling and Pony-trekking to Kayaking and Fishing.
There are many and varied local fetes and festivities - usually centered around food and wine of some description - and loads of lovely mediaeval castles and and villages and many gardens to explore.
We have bicycles to lend to those who wish to take advantage of the quiet, country roads and lanes to explore the wonderful, unspoilt countryside. There are several lakes nearby for a swim should you feel like a dip to cool down!
Alternatively, should you feel like doing nothing at all, we also have plenty of chairs and loungers and lots of shady or sunny spots to put them!
Other local museums and places of interest include The Museum of Country Traditions at Chassignolles, the Maison de George Sand - a 19th Century French writer and friend of Chopin, and the pottery museum and visitors centre at Cheniers. A little further South you'll find the Wolf Sanctuary and Giant Labyrinth near Gueret - ideal for a day out.
